About the project

Welcome to the website for the Común Tierra Project!

What is the Común Tierra Project?

To answer that question, we invite you to view this presentation …

Where are we now?

The trip has begun! We have traveled almost 1500 miles, from the Tijuana border crossing, down the Baja peninsula all the way to San Jose del Cabo, the tip of the fingertip of Baja. We are visiting some interesting projects in the area, before heading across to the mainland of Mexico!

We have fully moved into our new home, and have taken care of some projects and details inside the vehicle (there’s always more to be done). We are still working on the new website, which is coming soon! Along with the website, we will launch our monthly newsletter, and release the first sites on the map from our site visits here in Baja.

Other activities are quite varied: producing a more accurate budget and plan for Comun Tierra’s financial sustainability, contacting communities and projects throughout Mexico, working on our social networking (Wiser Earth, Facebook, Couchsurfing, Evolver, Retrans, etc), and editing our photos and videos thus far.

We want to send out a HUGE Thank You to our extended community for all of the emotional, organizational, financial, and spiritual support we have received during the build-up and launch of the trip! We need your support, now, and always. We have no illusions about the interconnectedness of our lives, hopes, and dreams, and even your kind thoughts and blessings reach us here on the road. If you share our dream of a just, sustainable human presence on the planet, a culture of peace and cooperation, re-integrated into the Earth ecosystem, then stay with us, keep in touch, and remember there are many different ways to be involved in the project.

Keep checking the blog for updates, and look for the new site soon. Happiness for all beings!

    Amigos;
    Mucha suerte en su viaje. Tengan siempre en cuenta que las formas de expresion de la culturas puede ser shocking para los extraños. Espero con ansia seguir sus pasos por estas comunidades. El rastro que dejan es un camino a seguir. Muchas gracias,
